- Data Definition Alignment: Work with business stakeholders to standardize data definitions across reports and systems, ensuring uniformity in terminology and understanding.
- Process Optimization & Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed process flows to streamline and standardize data reporting and analysis procedures.
- Data Validation: Review and verify data accuracy across various systems and ensure alignment of data fields and reports. Perform quality control checks and track data discrepancies.
- Reporting Consistency: Monitor and ensure reports, dashboards, and data fields are consistent across all platforms and stakeholders. Troubleshoot and address issues as they arise.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business and technical teams to identify areas of improvement in data processes and report inconsistencies, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- SQL for Data Analysis: Use SQL to extract, validate, and verify data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for reporting and analysis.
- Support Data-Driven Decision-Making: Assist stakeholders with process optimization by providing clean, validated data that can be used to make informed business decisions.
Capabilities for Success:
- Process Focused: You are highly detail-oriented and process-driven, with the ability to develop, document, and implement efficient processes for data management and reporting.
- Analytical Mindset: You possess strong critical thinking skills to analyze and verify data, identify inconsistencies, and ensure alignment across systems.
- Data Governance Expertise: You are familiar with data governance practices, ensuring data integrity and quality across all reports and systems.
- Collaboration: You work well with cross-functional teams and are able to communicate complex data-related issues in a simple, clear manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong SQL Skills: You are proficient in SQL and are able to write complex queries to verify and validate data across systems.
- Attention to Detail: You have a meticulous approach to data accuracy, ensuring that all reporting outputs align with business objectives and maintain high standards of quality.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, process optimization, or business consulting. Background in data quality assurance, process management, or similar roles strongly preferred.
- Industry Experience Preferred: Cruise, hospitality, travel, or other service-based industries with a focus on data-driven processes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. Advanced degree is a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
- SQL: Intermediate-to-Expert SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Data Visualization Tools: Proficiency in tools like Tableau or Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation, though focus will be on ensuring data integrity rather than creating insights.
- Data Management & Governance: Knowledge of best practices for data quality, validation, and governance.
Note:
This is not an engineering role. The focus is on ensuring data integrity, validating reports, and improving processes to support accurate and efficient data-driven decision-making.
